I am pleased to report that Pepe and Scruffy are doing well.
Pepe's wound is healing well. Very lucky. Scruffy is not limping now. Very lucky.

Pepe and Scruffy get sick in the same week
Last week I was busy minding Pepe and Scruffy. They are doing good now. Off to the vet tomorrow again with Pepe. What would we all do without the great vets

Scruffy bites the lock off the stables door
I brought Scruffy and Pixie into the stables as I was waiting on Linda Thompson, from The Donkey Sanctuary, to do a home check. Off I went to the shops to grab

The Diary

Christmas Day 2009

Went out to feed the Big Lads and it started to snow really heavy. A white Christmas. Children must be delighted.

I tried to get some photos but I have to say my new camera, which is 12 megapix is usless! I think I'll go back to using my 6 megapix one. I missed some beautiful shots of robins feeding on the horse and donkey food as they came out blur - dam dam dam!

My 6 megapix camera was so much easier to use and it never let me down with blurred photos.

I sat outside for ages in the snow, staying so still, trying to get photos of the robins as they came close to feed on seeds I had scattered about the yard. There is no excuse for a blurred photo as I was so close to them. So disappointed. Never mind I'll go out again tomorrow with my 6 megapix camera and try again.

Anyhow I'll upload the best of a bad bunch of photos I got. They are not great but they will give you a flair of today.

My sheep were hungry for hay as were Jenny, Blackie, Scruffy and Pixie. Poor lads. The infa red light is on in the stables all the time so they can come in for shelter if they want to.

I am so glad I am here to take care of my beautiful pets in this tough weather. They need me and I need them.

Happy Christmas to you all

Annette
