I am pleased to report that Pepe and Scruffy are doing well.
Pepe's wound is healing well. Very lucky. Scruffy is not limping now. Very lucky.

Pepe and Scruffy get sick in the same week
Last week I was busy minding Pepe and Scruffy. They are doing good now. Off to the vet tomorrow again with Pepe. What would we all do without the great vets

Scruffy bites the lock off the stables door
I brought Scruffy and Pixie into the stables as I was waiting on Linda Thompson, from The Donkey Sanctuary, to do a home check. Off I went to the shops to grab

The Diary

6 July 2010

Hello again

Weather was awful today but a positive spin was that there was nobody on the beach. So I took my 7 dogs to the beach and they had a great swim and run. Blossie insisted on chasing seagulls. Bubbles found a huge stick, or rather a huge log, to play with. Pepe took Sandy for a surfing lesson. Meg would not let go of the ball and in her photo you can see where both her sides are painted white from the cottage being painted white too.

When we got to the beach and reached the edge of the tide we were greeted by a beautiful sea dog. A special moment I have to say.

Tess did plenty of sprinting too but she did not have a swim. Pluto is a great swimmer now and she races Pepe and Bubbles to get the ball or log or whatever I find that floats.

I threw the ball too far and Pepe, Pluto and Bubbles lost sight of it so that was the end of that session. Then I came across the huge log and another 'fetch' session ensued with Bubbles winning the race.

Now the dogs are all cosy in the hay barn. They will have a good sleep now and get some rest before their next beach trip.

Although it was raining and very windy, it was warm and the sea was calm.

I wished I had brought my togs as I would have had a swim in the deep channel. Bit of a sea dog myself.

Hope you enjoy the photos. I love the one of Sandy surfing and the one of the sea dog saying 'Hello' and the one of Bubbles chewing on a huge log.

The bad weather did not stop us all having some fun today. It was a blessing as the dogs had the beach to themselves. Bliss.
