I am pleased to report that Pepe and Scruffy are doing well.
Pepe's wound is healing well. Very lucky. Scruffy is not limping now. Very lucky.

Pepe and Scruffy get sick in the same week
Last week I was busy minding Pepe and Scruffy. They are doing good now. Off to the vet tomorrow again with Pepe. What would we all do without the great vets

Scruffy bites the lock off the stables door
I brought Scruffy and Pixie into the stables as I was waiting on Linda Thompson, from The Donkey Sanctuary, to do a home check. Off I went to the shops to grab

Bláithín and Paddy had their first dental check up today.

Niamh Mc Daid, Equine Dentist, checked the two of them and there were no major problems. Both had some spikes growing from their teeth and Niamh shaved them down.

Bláithín was so good even though she was nervous. Paddy was his usual feisty self but he stood still for Niamh when he had to.

The rest of the Big Lads are due their annual check up in October.

Bláithín and Paddy were delighted when it was over and they rushed out of the stables to join their friends up the hill.

I feel good that Bláithín and Paddy have had their teeth checked as dental health is so important for proper chewing of their food and general well being.

Thank you to Niamh Mc Daid for a job well done. Such a skill.
